Disadvantages of dentures on same day
There are some disadvantages resulting from same day teeth. This process is quite expensive and involves high costs.
The patient cannot see how the denture looks like. Immediate dentures do not fit accurately in gums.
Reasons for increased costs
The dentures that are processed on same day involve high costs compared to conventional dentures. It is because these require more time for construction.
A guide is required for recounting tissues after the extraction process. For readjustments and refitting more follow- up visits are required.
A temporary relines material is used for re- fitting dentures; this is a softer material and becomes lose during the process of healing.
First, the softer tissues heal and the underlying bone gets a shrink. After placing immediate denture it is replaced by a new denture.
Only specific patients are recommended for immediate dentures. This treatment is only prescribed for few oral problems. The fabrication phase of immediate dentures is completed in about five visits.
In some cases back teeth are required to be extracted six to seven weeks earlier from fabrication phase. The extracted sites get healed in that duration and teeth can be fit in a better way.
For many people, this sort of dentures is extremely important. Unflattering holes can be avoided by using these dentures.
